Standards outrun manual review
A mid-size refinery answers to dozens of codes, each revised on its own cycle. The internal engineering standards written against the 2010 editions are still on the shelf. Finding every clause that moved, and every procedure that no longer matches, is months of reading that nobody has months for.
NORMEX reads, compares and cites
Upload the existing standard, paste or select the current RAGAGEP, add the engineer's notes. NORMEX produces the updated standard with a clause-by-clause diff, the OSHA 1910.119 element each change supports, and the citation behind every line.
Faster audits, lower risk
- Weeks of standards review compressed to hours
- Every gap traced to the clause that governs it
- Audit-ready documents with citations, not opinions
- Engineering labor spent on judgment, not reading
Commercial release: available to license and install today. Beta: customer evaluation. Pilot program: deployed with design partners under evaluation agreements. Development: not yet released. Research: direction, not a product.
Three applications. One compliance record.
Update the standard against the code
The flagship. Load the outdated standard PDF, bring in the current RAGAGEP text, set the document identity and signatories, and generate. NORMEX returns a revised standard, a diff view, an OSHA 1910.119 cross-reference, an EPA RMP check and a client report, each with its citations.
- Tabs: Input · OSHA · Standard · Diff · Log · Compliance · EPA Regs · NEP Readiness
- Exports to Word with revision table and signature block
- Works with Anthropic or Azure AI Foundry (federal-eligible) on your own key

Fourteen elements, one dashboard
The management layer for a facility's PSM program: process safety information, PHA, operating procedures, training, contractors, pre-startup review, mechanical integrity, hot work, MOC, incidents, emergency planning, audits, trade secrets, employee participation. Studies, recommendations and overdue items roll up to an element health matrix with a live activity log.
- PHA / HAZOP study tracking with recommendation status
- Element-by-element health scoring
- Export report for auditors and management review

See the event before the alarm
Multi-channel anomaly detection on live process data: reactor temperature, vessel pressure, feed flow, pump vibration, motor current, tank level. An Isolation Forest plus LSTM ensemble scores each channel against its safe envelope and raises tiered safety events with a one-click PSM report.
- OPC-UA connectivity for plant historians and controllers
- Ensemble anomaly score per channel and per unit
- Alert queue mapped to OSHA 1910.119 and DOE O 225.1B reporting

NEXUS feeds the facility model
Equipment tags, P&IDs and materials from NEXUS become the facility record NORMEX certifies.
Plant Intelligence runs it
Work orders, shift logs and emergency readiness inherit the PSM elements NORMEX tracks.
PSM consulting & RAGAGEP review
The engineers who built NORMEX run compliance engagements through advisory.porrittinc.com.
AI-accelerated RAGAGEP review
How a standards review runs with NORMEX, step by step.
What does NORMEX do?
NORMEX is a family of compliance applications. Standards AI analyzes an existing engineering standard against current RAGAGEP and generates an updated, cited standard with a diff view and OSHA 1910.119 cross-reference. PSM Manager tracks the 14 PSM elements, PHA studies and open recommendations. PSM Predict watches live sensor channels and scores anomalies against process-safety limits.
Does NORMEX replace a PSM consultant?
No. It accelerates the review work a process safety engineer already does. A qualified engineer still owns the judgment and the signature; Porritt Inc. offers that engineering through advisory.porrittinc.com.
Where does NORMEX run and where does my data go?
In the browser on Windows, installed on your own machine or network. Standards and facility inputs stay on your system; AI analysis is sent only to the model provider you configure with your own key.
What standards does NORMEX cover?
OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119, EPA 40 CFR 68, and the RAGAGEP most facilities answer to: API 510, 570, 653, 750, RP 505 and 2001; ASME B31.3, B31.4 and Section VIII; NFPA 30, 58, 70 and 497; AIHA and CCPS guidelines; plus any standard you upload.
Bring one outdated standard. Leave with the update.
