SPECIFICATION · HYPERSONIC TRACKING

Distributed
passive sensing.

Wide-baseline passive sensor fields detecting signatures without emitting, so the sensing layer does not itself become a targetable emitter.

DESIGN TARGET · NOT MEASURED PERFORMANCE

Figures on this page are engineering design targets and reference-architecture values, not measured results from operating hardware. They state what the design is being engineered to achieve. Verified performance data will replace them as systems are built and tested. Nothing here should be relied upon as a performance warranty.

Design basis
MODALITY

Passive detection

Sensors receive rather than transmit. A passive field is not a radar cross-section and does not advertise its own position.

GEOMETRY

Wide baseline

Distributed geometry provides angular diversity, which is what makes track formation possible from passive observations alone.

ENDURANCE

Low-power nodes

Event-driven operation permits long unattended deployment in the remote terrain where such a field would realistically sit.

SCOPE

Detection and tracking only

This is an early-warning capability. Detection, tracking, and cueing. No fire control, no engagement, no weapons function.

Scope and boundaries

Porritt Inc. scope is detection, tracking, and early warning. Engagement decisions and weapons employment remain entirely with authorised military command. We build the sensing and the picture; we do not build weapons.
